Fire Hall concrete poured, promptly ripped up
The Red Wing Fire Department is currently in the process of having the concrete in front of the fire station redone.
The concrete had been poured this week, but did not meet Accessible Design regulations due to an incorrect angle of the slope leading up to the firehouse.
According to Rick Moskwa of Red Wing Public Works, the city, general contractor and design and engineering team are working together to fix the problem.
It is not yet known if replacing the apron to the street for a second time will cost the city money.
