Bryant, Diercks, Tauer elected to Red Wing School Board

Red Wing School Board will have two new members after Tuesday’s midterm elections.

Incumbent Arlen Diercks retained his seat on the board, with former Goodhue County Commissioner Jim Bryant and Red Wing graduate Holly Tauer winning as well.

There were three seats up for grabs on the board, including Diercks, the current School Board president. School Board Members Bethany Borgschatz and Steve Anderson decided not to run for re-election.

Bryant served on the Goodhue County Board for 16 years and was also a Red Wing police officer for 26 years. Tauer is a teacher for St. Paul Public Schools and has been a teacher for 22 years.
